Facial balancing at Lushful Aesthetics typically involves the strategic use of hyaluronic acid fillers and/or Radiesse® to create harmonious results across multiple areas of the face. Rather than concentrating volume in one location, this treatment distributes smaller amounts of filler throughout key structural points.
While patients often associate sculpted results with large amounts of product, facial balancing works differently. Achieving definition in a single area such as the jawline alone may require 5–7 syringes. Facial balancing instead uses targeted refinement across the face to create subtle improvements that enhance symmetry and proportion without appearing augmented.

Our facial balancing procedure treats your whole face, instead of just targeting a single area. Patients at our medical spa for men can expect 3-5 syringes for an even and symmetrical outcome. If more extensive correction is necessary, we might spread the sessions out and explore other treatments, such as FreshTox™.
Almost every patient is a candidate for facial harmonization. This is an ideal procedure for someone who’s looking to make a modest improvement to their overall face balancing by treating multiple areas.
We use both FDA-approved hyaluronic acid-based fillers and Radiesse®, which is a calcium-based filler for asymmetry that stimulates collagen and elastin. In most cases, we will use a variety of different fillers to correct asymmetry, we choose the filler that is best suited for each specific area treated.
A masculine jawline is sharper and more chiseled, with an angle closer to 90 degrees. While women certainly can still have defined jawlines, they tend to be less chiseled and usually have a wider angle that does not make their faces look square. Because men require more definition and tend to have larger faces, more jaw filler is needed to provide optimal results.
Facial balancing considers the entire face and doesn’t just focus on individual features. This prevents the patient from looking like one feature alone is “too much”. The idea is to keep the results simple and of course, balanced.
Facial balancing is as safe as any other facial filler procedure. It’s important to see a well-trained medical professional who has several Before + Afters of their work for you to review.
As with most filler treatments, face balancing with fillers takes about 2 weeks to settle in. Residual swelling may linger for up to 4 weeks. We recommend that patients plan in advance 4-6 weeks before any major events.
This is a multifactorial question. Everyone is different regarding the level of “correction” they’re trying to maintain and achieve. If you pride yourself on looking aesthetically optimal at all times, you may want small yearly touch-ups combined with FreshTox™. On the other hand, if you’re just looking for a pick-me-up treatment and want to ride it out and not worry about maintenance there’s nothing wrong with that and you’ll slowly see your results fade over 1-3 years depending on the amount of filler you received.
